Retro Duo System Plays Your (S)NES Classics
It's rather cool if you have a PS3 running custom firmware and you're able to play all of your ROM classics via emulators, provided that that's done legally. Now, what if you don't have a jailbroken PS3 but still want to be able to play all the games on the cartridges in your closet? Retro Duo is the solution.
Retro Duo sports a design similar to the SNES and is capable of playing both NES and SNES cartridges. As for the time it's emulating, the Retro Duo outputs via composite or S-Video cables. Playback is up to snuff among games although there may be some kinks here and there. (As with any other emulator)
The Retro Duo runs for $50 a piece and it makes the perfect gift if you're looking to bring out the cartridges. If you're too lazy to go through the motions of powering on/off, ejecting, resetting, loading and blowing, then emulating via the PC, PS3, Xbox or PSP is the easier option.

So just to get this right you, a writer for dashhacks one of the main sources of info for ps3 hacks is sugesting that a 50$ is less trouble then a ps3 emulator? This has abosulutly nothing to do with ps3tell me the importance of this "blogger post" on this site relative to what this ENTIRE SITE is about?

wow if you going to sell a console dont have bugs in it o,0 Save ur money you can buy a SNES for 20 bucks and there's a cartage you can buy now where you can save any game to it.
gotta love it, providing its done legally.... sure like people use emulators to play the game cartridge they own, i mean how retarded is that when we all know for a fact that a very good 99.99% of people using emulators dont own the orrigional cartridge, heck id be even suprised if everyone who uses emulators even owns the orrigional console.

DERP!Actually I owned a lot of the games I still play on emulators. Emulators don't require blowing a cartrage slot, properly display on LCD monitors/tvs & support blending/filters.You only think 99.99% of people using emulators never owned the original because you're some shitty little kid. And in 10 years the next batch of shitty little kids will be saying the same thing about the games you grew up playing.

I agree. This feels like an ad. Besides that, these things have been around forever. I've had something similiar since 2002. So it's definitely not news....
If I wanted a hardware solution, I'd buy a REAL SNES. Now tell those clowns to get cracking on an affordable flashcard solution for NES, SNES, Genesis & NeoGeo.
I have a snes/nes duo machine..... it cost me like 35 buck about 2 years ago....Old news.
