BioWare Cancelled Narrative Action IP

You really have to dig to find a nugget like this. Someone found on former BioWare employee Edward Douglas' LinkedIn page a reference to a cancelled "AAA Narrative Action IP" that he worked on. It goes on to say that he worked on "next-gen interactive narrative design," "IP and story development," and creative direction for gameplay cameras and character lighting." Douglas worked on Mass Effect 3, and all that sounds very much in the vein of ME3, but he has that project listed separately from this one.

BioWare is also set to unveil a new project at the Video Game Awards on December 10th, so perhaps bits of this cancelled project were rolled into another and we'll learn a little bit of what this is all about. EA, BioWare's parent company, also recently trademarked the names "Blacked Out," "Prison Kings," and "Secret Island" but who knows if any of this news is related at all. It basically sounds like BioWare is doing what it does, but for fans of the Mass Effect series it sounds like we'll be getting more of what we love from these guys.
