3.73 Jailbreak Revealed by KaKaRoTo
I know how much Greg would have loved to post this - Like all the stories you read here, but this can't wait ;).
KaKaRoTo was the first person to ever release custom firmware for the PS3 and now he’s taken a huge leap forward - The dude has managed to get a 3.73 Jailbreak “kind of” working. The saiyajin will take at least a couple of weeks to release it due to generally having a life, like most people. Unfortunately, you will not be able to run any backup managers on 3.73 Jailbreak – Not yet at least :).

This is good news. Sooner or later that vault will be cracked, rest assured...the milling of Sony will release a newer firmware and the cat and mouse game will rinse and repeat.

Great news. I just learn how to jb and so far I haven't seen much for 3.55 and was little disapointed, now there a chance to have another cfw is really great news. I am new to this scene about a month or so. I don't know KaKaRoTo, so if this is real You Are Truely The Man. Also Thanks to all dev out there for doing what they do. You Guys Are Great.

KaKaRoTo is NOT like Math. When he says that he's found or done something, it's the truth. This is the real deal.
KaKaRoToKs has said that you cannot create CFW 3.73 from his exploit or whatever because IT'S NOT POSSIBLE.
So, sorry for anyone who got their hopes up but there's no way to enable peek&poke through his method so backup managers will never work.
This is yet another news post that presents a "breakthrough" that goes nowhere.

Well if pirating games is your only interest, then yes I could see why you would be disappointed. Otherwise I would say this is big news. Homebrew gets a tonne of use on my machines.

i have ps3 3.41 jailbreak can i upgrade it into 3.70 jailbreak if yes how ?
the only jailbreak there is after that is 3.55 and i think there is a 3.56 prototype
There is no JailBreak for 3.70, There are Custom Firmwares CFW, and the max hackers break is 3.55, so don't update for now, or you will play only original...
this topic is about a possible Jailbreak in the future.Or you Can buy a TB dongle, it let you play 3.56+ games in 3.55 CFW;
Beware: There is no 3.60+ CFW, all sites with this are fake, will brick or update your ps3 to the 3.73 OFW, once upgrated, no way to go back!!!!!

I can more easily forgive the current limitations of this jailbreak, since at least kakaroto is admitting it's not complete yet. Mathieulh has basically cemented his reputation as an asshole as of late.
DOWNLOADED IT AND WHEN I INSTALLED I DID NOT GET THE INSTALL PACKAGE FOLDER AT THE XMB DISPLA.
where did you download the file from, if you dont mind me saying?
can we get homebrew on the latest firmware, even CFW on the latest firmware? I won't be happy until that happens.
