Punch In The Face Price Jump
Sony, one of the richest companies in the world, one of the most illustrious technology creators to ever exist, how much money must that have? Probably loads but according to Sony, not enough. You would think a title such as Red Faction Armageddon wouldn’t be breaking your bank that much, considering it scored a weak 5.5 in PSM3 magazine. Well according to the PlayStation Network the best value for this title on their store is £57.00, this is a completely ludicrous amount, truly mind blowing, never have I seen a game this expensive in a high street store. According to the PlayStation Store they are able to charge a substantial amount on top of its recommended retail price, just for the small matter of convenience.
This isn’t the first title to be hiked up to an unfathomable price; Dead Space 2 and InFamous 2 are also victims of Sony’s punch in the face price jump. Both these games have reached £47.99-£49.99 which is still almost a full £10.00 above their launch day release costs. Nice one Sony, I think I’ll go else where to buy my games, thanks for the totally reasonable offer though (sarcasm intended).

I will never buy anything from the ps store unless it is not available in my local store..
All I can say is everyone should boycot the store. And see what happens when sony dont make any money!!!

Wow first gamesharin has been cut in more than half of the consoles u cud have used ur purchased goods now they are hiking up the price? Damn good thing I only buy dlc for new Vegas they better not come with convienience fees for dlc also

Red Faction Armageddon and Dead Space 2 are neither published or developed by Sony. Just because it is sold in the PS Store doesnt mean that Sony always decides the prices.
But the reason why games are more expencive in the PS Store is most likely to keep retail stores happy. This does not only go for the PS Store by the way. Like, why is Red Faction Armageddon 50 euros on Steam when i can buy it cheaper in retail stores?
yup the above comment is correct. the price for red faction will be down to THQ, SYFY games or VALVE. the psn store sells the titles on behalf of the distributor and takes a fee.
its a bit like complaining to ebay because an item for sale is too expensive.
but i do agree that the PSN prices are just plain ridiculous. the prices should be lower not higher. theyve got no transportation costs, no packaging costs, less middle men to pay.
